Institute of Measurement
Spring 2011 | Studio 402
Built at the northernmost end of the Highline in New York City, the Institute for the Disambiguation of Measurement had dual purposes as both an educational center and sculptural landmark. Its distinctive sloping roof allowed for easy pedestrian access to the Highline, while the interior's curved walls created dynamic and interesting spaces that promoted discovery. These interior walls were designed to gradually reveal new spaces to visitors as they explored the building.
