With the launch of a new flagship product, the "sactional," the furniture startup Lovesac had the ambition to grow beyond its core business of oversized bean bag chairs. This shift in product strategy necessitated a shift in brand strategy as well. The resulting design referenced the modularity of the sactional couch and the tone of casual refinement resonated with their new target customer.
As a member of the Prophet team, I dove deep into ethnographic research and directly applied customer insights to the new retail design. I was deeply involved in the overall design strategy and presented the prototype concepts to the Founder and C-Suite. I also authored the retail design guidelines that facilitated the global implementation of the new concept.
